Frequently Asked Questions
Is $99.99 the total cost, or are there hidden fees?

$99.99 covers both full courses (Life & Health + Property & Casualty). No hidden course fees. Texas state sales tax will be applied at checkout (varies by location, typically 6.25%–8.25%). The only other cost is the state exam fee, paid directly to Pearson VUE when you schedule your test.

Is the Texas insurance exam hard? What is the pass rate?

The state exam is challenging, but preparation makes the difference. Our course includes full coverage of both exam content outlines (Life & Health + Property & Casualty), plus a simulated exam bank to help you practice. We don't guarantee a pass, but students who complete both modules go into the exam significantly more prepared.

How many hours do I actually need to finish?

Most students spend 20–30 hours total across both courses. You can complete it in 2 weeks or 2 months — it's completely self-paced. There is no deadline.

After I finish, how do I actually take the state exam?

Once you complete both courses, you'll receive your TDI-approved certificates (one for each line). You then schedule your exam directly with Pearson VUE.

What if I fail the state exam?

You can retake the state exam (Pearson VUE charges a separate fee). Your course access lasts for one full year from the purchase date, so you have plenty of time to review materials and try again. We don't offer refunds, but we also don't lock you out after one attempt.

I have zero insurance background. Will I understand the terms?

Yes. Every chapter starts with plain-English explanations. Insurance has a lot of jargon, but we teach it like you're hearing it for the first time. No prior knowledge needed.
